Dream Dancer

Dream Dancer started as an original acrylic painting on reclaimed material by Central Michigan artist Zach Maatman. A long-legged spider steps lightly across a field of soft pink, its body coiled with shell-like scrollwork beneath a band of teal and gold Art Deco pattern. Spiders are often met with fear, but here the subject moves with grace, a dancer in a dream more than a threat. The original has already found a home.
